Managing inventory
Track the products you sell and the materials your services consume, per location, with a full movement history.
How inventory is organised
Products form one catalogue for the whole business; stock levels are per location. The page has three tabs: Products, the Movements log and Transfers. Summary tiles show total stock value at purchase cost, the number of tracked products and current low-stock alerts.
Add a product
- Click New product and enter the name, optional SKU, barcode, category, supplier and description.
- Set the unit of measurement (pieces by default; use ml, g or similar for materials).
- Enter the purchase cost. Enter a selling price only if customers can buy the product on its own.
- Tick Track stock levels to enable quantities, Available for sale to offer it on the completion screen, and keep Active on.
- Under Opening stock, set the initial quantity for a location, its low-stock threshold and a storage location such as "Shelf A-2, backroom".
Stock movements
Use the row actions to keep quantities accurate:
- Record purchase – quantity, unit cost, date and supplier. By default it also creates an inventory expense and can update the product's purchase cost.
- Adjust stock – set an absolute quantity or apply a plus/minus delta, with a reason such as audit correction, damage or spoilage, and a note.
- Transfer stock – move a quantity from one location to another. Both sides appear in the log.
Sales made through the appointment completion screen and materials consumed by services are deducted automatically. Every change is written to the Movements log with date, location, reason, change, resulting stock and who made it.
Low-stock alerts
When a location's quantity falls to or below its threshold, the product gets a Low stock badge and appears in the alerts tile. Thresholds are per location and can be changed from Adjust stock.
